Thoughts on Figuring it Out

My general chemistry 1 and 2 professor is also my advisor. About four weeks ago she asked my to go to Maddison with her this summer and do research. I'm super excited to have this awesome opportunity. It will be good and I will get to see if research is something I think my future might hold. So I will be in Maddison this summer. I am blessed by this opportunity and God keeps rocking my socks off.

Got back from being overseas last Thursday. It's Wednesday morning. How many night have I slept the whole night? Two. How many night have I not slept much at all? Two. How many nights have I waken up at three? Three. Jet lag is kicking my butt. And I'm sick of it! Not only do I wake up in the middle of the night, I become hungry. I mean seriously? I'm eating normal for here. This can be done now! Hopes to it being my LAST night of waking up.

Be in it to end it. President Obama said this about the issue. There's no denying the awful reality when a man desperate for work finds himself in a factory or on a fishing boat or in a field work, toiling for little of not pay and beaten if tries to escape, that is slavery. When a woman is locked in a sweatshop or trapped in a home as a domestic servant, along and abused and incapable of leaving, that's slavery. When a little girl is sold by her impoverished family- girls my daughters' age- [or] runs away from home, or is lured by the false promise of a better life and then imprisoned in a brothel and tortured if she resists, that's slavery. Today is Good Friday. Why do we call the day that Jesus died GOOD Friday? Why not like Sad Friday or Bad Friday? I asked my dad he said well what do you think? Friday: The Day Jesus Died (Or at least we think) Good: Usually when you think of someone dieing it is a sad affair. But for Jesus this was a good death. This death covered the sins of everyone who will ever live or has lived. Today is the day we remember Jesus' Death on the cross. How much he loved us to go through what he did. You can read about it here . Today just take some time to reflect upon what Jesus has done for you and thank him for it.
