2 Days

Yesterday: A song heard, a soft word, light seen Sing Sing Sing- the old swing tune, it was a happy tune and made my day a little brighter Hearing how my father delights in us, his children The song Glorious Ruins by Hillsong Live has been one of my favorites recently (Listen here ) and the lyrics are seeping into my should reveling light and truth.  "Let the ruins come to life! In the beauty of Your Name, rising up from the ashes, God forever You reign. And my soul will find refuge, in the shadow of Your wings. I will love You forever and forever I'll sing."  Today: 3 old things seen new  Effective nuclear charge: This probably means nothing to you, the reader, but I learned more about what this means and got a greater understanding of it. I have a new picture of what it really means.  Sex Trafficking: It's not only girls being sold for sex, boys are as well. It's a startling find as we think only girls are being sold for such things. Rescuing those ...

Three Gifts Only Seen Close Up

Snow flakes: I love it when the snow is dry and you can make out the individual flakes! ( see here ) Bugs: However gross you think they are you must get close up to see them and they are gifts to us. ( see here ) This might seem ironic, but eyes: They are girts in two ways. They help us see and they show us how others really feel. You can't see them truly, but close up.

Yesterday's

Sorry I missed yesterday. My day was kind of crazy. We, as a family talked about them. Three things that might not have been: The Philippines Trip: This was a trip "in the making" for several years at our church and honestly I thought it would never happen. But it did and it was such a great experience for me.  Seeing Sharon: Sharon got to come to the US in October and our mission trip group had talked about having her in Emporia. But then nothing was said and I thought it would never happen. But it did and it was so good to see her!  The opportunity to go to Madison this summer. It is beyond my wildest dreams and may not have been!

Three Gifts From God's Word

I love sharing these with you and hope that they can be gifts, even new ones, for you! Encouragement: "Do you see what this means—all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we’d better get on with it. Strip down, start running—and never quit! No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. Keep your eyes on  Jesus , who both began and finished this race we’re in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now he’s  there , in the place of honor, right alongside God. When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility he plowed through.  That  will shoot adrenaline into your souls!" -Hebrews 12:1-3 (The Message) Peace: "Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayer...
